Message from the Principal

Welcome to Scoil Naomh Chaitríona. I am very proud to lead a school community where safety, happiness and a sense of belonging are at the heart of everything we do. We firmly believe that only when a child feels safe, valued and happy can true learning take place, and this belief underpins all aspects of school life.

We place huge importance on the relationships we build with our children and families. Every child in Scoil Naomh Chaitríona is known, supported and encouraged, and we work hard to create an environment where children feel confident to be themselves, take risks in learning and develop resilience. Alongside academic learning, we promote a well-rounded education, with strong emphasis on wellbeing, creativity, sport, leadership and personal growth.

We are also an ambitious and forward-looking school, with many exciting developments ahead. We have been awarded over €300,000 in grant funding, which will allow us to wrap the building with insulation and replace all windows and doors, significantly improving comfort, energy efficiency and learning spaces for our pupils. In addition, our involvement in initiatives such as the Aspire Project, Active Flag, Amber Flag, Green Schools and other whole-school programmes continues to enrich teaching, learning and wellbeing across the school.

None of this would be possible without our dedicated, caring and highly committed staff team, who consistently go above and beyond to support the children in their care. We are excited about the future of Scoil Naomh Chaitríona and the opportunities it will bring for our pupils.
