Dear Parents,

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by today's closure. Teachers have sent home classwork with each child and may be contacted throughout the day on Class Dojo with any questions. Below we have included some optional activities for any children who would like to try them.

Here are some activities that would be suited to second class and upwards. If some of 1st class feel up to it they can by all means give them a try also.

English/ Carla’s Sandwich

Activity 1: Create your own comic strip. Divide your page into 3 parts.

Part 1 should show Carla and her opinion on her sandwich. You can use speech or thought bubbles 💬💭

Part 2 should show another character’s opinions

Part 3 should show your opinion on the sandwich.

Activity 2: (Procedural Writing) Write a step by step recipe on how to make a sandwich. Make the sandwich as crazy or weird as you like. Give it a title, list what’s needed and write the instructions step by step using present tense. Swipe right above to see some tips.

Bonus - Art . Write some adverbs on your page in bubble writing. Decorate the adverbs in a way that represents what they mean.
